According to Korean ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute), W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) has decided to include Korean-developed WIPI (Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability) into the agenda of Mobile Web Initiative. Since global mobile carriers and terminal makers currently adopt different platforms, this decision presents the opportunity expand WIPI internationally.
